Mudvayne – Lost And Found

One can always enjoy to a even bigger degree any kind of music if you get a show with it, much like Kiss, the show is a nice complement to the music, now Mudvayne releases a new album, and … WHAT no make up? So does that mean that before you guys were just copying all the acts that use a lot of props and make up, or are you just selling out and going for a more clean look, you guys… well anyway, what could you expect after their last album being a one hit wonder, and we all know those kinds of albums don’t promise much.

Gorillaz – Demon Days

Well we all know what Gorillaz is … Blur famed Damon Albarn’s Pet Project, that turned bigger than, well, Blur, hehehe does that make you think, or what?, anyways after about 4 year, her comes a new album, full of promises and well a bit more of the same, Gorillaz sound is far from being stale, it ranges from the alternative pop/rock, through things like hip-hop, funk, gloom*, to some forms of electronic i guess, even thought it seems the main concern is finding out the exact age of Noodle, their underage Japanese guitarist, even thought it is a fictional character…

Kaiser Chiefs – Employment

Kaiser Chiefs, well well well, play a very sparkly british pop/punk/rock with some help from synthesizers, so this is happy happy music for the happy happy people, how do i know them? were else, “Predict A Riot” was a constant on radio, and i’m not that a big listener but did get it a couple of times, these acts seem to be rolling like crazy, Franz Ferdinand does come to mind, but i have that tingly feel between my legs that this two aren’t all the bunch, so i drink a cool orange juice to get that happy happy feeling, before i listen to this album, am i going to see any riots?

The Mad Capsule Markets – 1997-2004

Uhh the mad boys are back…well halfway, this is their latest release, but its just a mix of their best tunes from 1997 to 2004, why do this? well maybe because their back catalog isn’t that rich so everyone can save a couple of bucks and just by this one, these japanese boys play a form of electro/punk so the songs are not really part of anything, so albums tend to be collection of songs ratter than something with a beginning, middle or end, anyway i like the mad capsule markets, their use of drum&bass/jungle, so… heavy hitting electronic with the violent overtone of punk/hardcore/thrash, and this mix actually works quite well.

Rebel Meets Rebel

Dimebag Darrell is gone forever. Brutally murdered in a Damageplan gig by I retarded fuck (fan). Several tributes were done throughout the globe since the pink bearded man was murdered. Gigs were done, bands played songs with ex-Pantera members here and there, tribute compilations were recorded, etc. Meanwhile, Vinnie Paul releases his side-project with Dimebag Darrell, Rex Brown and the country legend David Allan Coe.

The Ocean – Aeolian

Hell, since i’m in this aquatic mood (yeah with wales and seas and leviathans), so why not talk about The Ocean newest release “Aeolian”, The Ocean, plays a metal/hardcore hybrid, mixing different stuff, sometimes sounding closer to The Dillinger Escape Plan punk aggression, other times the more rock/metal of the likes of Mastodon, any way let’s see what the album has in store.

Tool – 10000 Days

I have a kind of hate love relation with Tool, i do realize they are talented folk i just don’t seem so interested on their sound, their prowess is without question but they seem to have found a formula and they are sticking to it, my way of enjoying music is based on 2 concepts, quality and originality, and for me originality is long gone with Tool.

David Gilmour – On An Island

The voice and guitar of Pink Floyd is back. And what a return!

David Gilmour didnt release a solo work since 1984 and as part of Pink Floyd since 1994. After almost fifteen years we, once again, can have the pleasure of listening to Gilmour’s voice and guitar work – I personally love his guitar solos, always have, always will.
